South Malling School: The Friends of South Malling organised a wonderful camping weekend on the schools field last weekend. Children and their parents were treated to a BBQ on Saturday night, bacon butties on Sunday morning and storytelling from Miss Harrison before getting into their tents for a restful nights sleep alongside the South Malling chickens! Thank you to the Friends for all their hard work and organisation.

This term the school is inviting parents/carers to come into their child’s class every week so they can see what their children have been learning and how they can help them with their homework for that week. They hope this will prove a popular and helpful event.

South Malling Church: Last Sunday, the congregation joined the other Trinity churches at St. Johns sub Castro to celebrate the move of Southover`s 11.15am service to the newly refurbished St. Johns. The service was well attended and all three congregations enjoyed the opportunity to worship together. It was a beautiful day and people stayed on after the service for coffee and sandwiches, and a chance to wander into the churchyard to enjoy the sunshine.

Revd Steve Daughtery, vicar of the three churches, spoke about a church where all believers were one in heart and mind. This coming Sunday everyone, especially those who have drifted away from church and might like to reconnect, is invited to attend the service, which begins at 11.15, and see for themselves what is like.

Next Sunday at (Trinity) South Malling Church, however it will be business as usual with the relaxed and informal Morning Praise service, beginning at 9.30. All are welcome.
