The evening is entitled Reducing Re-offending and will be led by Dale (Anglican) Chris (Catholic) and Hussain (Muslim) who will from their different perspectives talk about their day to day work in the Chaplaincy at Lewes Prison, the care and resettlement of prisoners, and restorative justice.

WALLANDS SCHOOL: Over the half term holidays, contractors will be in school as part of the habitat phase of the Outdoor Grounds project. They will be planting hedgerows to encourage wildlife corridors from the South Downs, increasing the planting in our wooded area and starting a wild flower meadow at the bottom end of the running track, which will support butterflies and other insects. All of this will increase the value of our grounds as a teaching and learning resource. Many thanks to FOWs and all of you who have supported this project. Later on in the term we will be taking delivery of more than 400 plants and trees from the woodland trust, which we would very much like help with planting, more details after the holidays. We are nearing the end of our football league season. The team played 3 matches Wednesday evening holding off two teams to a 0-0 draw and winning their third 3-0. Mrs Taylor reported back on how analytical the boys can be, calmly reflecting on points raised by their peers and then implementing it in their play. Lewes Priory Cricket Club Juniors welcome boys and girls from age 5 years upwards. There are teams for all age groups run by qualified coaches, with summer matches against other clubs in the local area. Home matches and training take place at the Stanley Turner Ground, Kingston, Lewes. A fun and friendly local club where all levels are welcome.
