GRAND CHRISTMAS FAIR: Newhaven, Lewes and District Mencap will be holding our very popular Grand Christmas Fair tomorrow, Saturday, starting at 10am until 2pm. Come to Riverside Hall, Riverside, Newhaven BN9 9BP to take part in our big fund-raising event. Exciting Grand Draw prizes, stalls, games, home-made cakes, refreshments and Santa’s Grotto among many attractions. 50p entrance, children under 12 years free. We hope to see you on there.

CHRISTMAS FAIR: St Michael’s Church, Newhaven, will be holding their annual Christmas Fair on Saturday, November 28, 2.30pm to 4pm in the church hall. Delicious Christmas teas and cakes, games, tombola, nearly new, books and puzzles. All welcome, entry free.

RNLI CHRISTMAS FAYRE: RNLI Newhaven Christmas Fayre taking place in the Hillcrest Centre on Saturday November 28 from 10am to 1pm. Now is the time to start to enjoy the festive spirit whilst supporting your local lifeboat. Father Christmas will be visiting and there will be a variety of stalls for the enjoyment of all the family as well as a Winter Raffle with the main raffle prize, a Christmas Hamper, being supplied by Sainsbury’s. Entry fee of 25p with all profits to be used for the benefit of RNLI Newhaven.

CHRISTMAS MARKET: Newhaven Country Market annual Christmas Market will be held on Thursday November 26 between 9.45am and 2pm in the main hall on the Hillcrest Community Centre. As the gift giving season approaches, a visit to Newhaven Country Market provides shoppers with the opportunity to select unique hand-made crafts and produce that is not readily available on the High Street or from large chain stores. Orders can be placed for Christmas cakes and puddings and mince pies; seasonal gift hampers may be ordered also. Whole foods, jams and preserves, local honey, Indian foods and spices, sweets, fish and eggs as well as local cheeses are all on sale. A wide range of handmade crafts including cards, jewellery wood-carving, hand-knitted and crochet hats, scarves and gloves and children’s wear are popular as well as hand sewn items ideal for unique gifts, all made to a high standard.
