Two weeks and counting!: And, amazingly, there are fully lit gardens and houses, Xmas trees in windows, and Space-defying flashing l.e.ds all over the place, and have been since December dawned! Reality T.V shows are in their finals’ stages, Pantomimes have opened all over the country (Boo! to this Wicked Queen who’s unwillingly ‘resting’ this year!!)...and so, it can all only mean one thing, that the ever-extending Christmas season is up and bolting, and for ‘The Twelve days..’ now read ‘The Three and a half weeks..’; Now, that’s a lot of extra presents from the ‘True Love’, from the Pear tree-bound Partridge, via gold rings, swans and Ladies Dancing to the main Christmas Day heralding the arrival of..er, 25 Horses Racing...? No, that’s Boxing day! Anyway, if you’re tired already from all the ‘Festive Fun’ and ‘Jolly Yuletide Jingles’, Google-up the ‘Irish 12 days of Christmas’, performed by Frank Kelly, and you will definitely be cheered up, in fact, I promise you’ll be crying with laughter by the end! And so..

It tells of the appearance of the Angel to the Shepherds, and how there is hope for those who think they are too far away from God. The Play, and all the songs, were written by Alan Young, and this promises again to be a beautiful piece of inspirational, musical drama. The Group is always very popular, and the Plays well received, so set your alarm to get to the Methodist Church in good time on Sunday!
