PEACEHAVEN WI: Surprisingly we had a good attendance to our February meeting, considering the weather was appalling. The president welcomed three visitors and names were submitted by those wishing to go to the Winter Gardens, Eastbourne for the East Sussex Federation WI Annual Meeting in March.

After tea John Henty started by outlining details of his full and varied life, when he first broadcast on local radio at 5am daily. He told us that he had met many famous people and after putting one penny in his arcade machine, the pointer stopped at a number corresponding to his list of celebrities and he then gave us a very amusing anecdote of each one, among these were Kate Adie, Peter Sellers and Roy Hudd. We were sorry when the meeting had to close. Next time we meet on March 1, and hope to see you then. (Joy Allen).
