PEACEHAVEN WI: Our February meeting was well attended and we were pleased to welcome a new member to our fold. Following the success of our recent ‘snail’ walk in Brighton, another walk was scheduled for February 12. After tea, and celebrating one of our members 90th birthday, we were interestingly entertained by John Vine. John is an actor and told us how he started in this career from a very early age, fighting off his father’s wish for him to help in his record business. He said that he began by observing people, the way they moved, and the many different voices, all of which helped him in his work of becoming what he called a ‘jobbing’ actor. After taking on many parts in films he expects to be on our TV screens shortly, so we shall look out for him.

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday March 6, do come and join us. (Joy Allen).
