MUSIC DAY: Polegate Windmill Music Day on Sunday is organized by Gerry Page. He will entertain on the mill plat together with any local musicians who would like to take part on the day.

OPEN GARDEN: In aid of St Wilfrid’s Hospice, on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm at 2A Downs Road, Willingdon, BN22 OJH. Entry is by donation for St Wilfrid’s Hospice. LOCAL HISTORY: Polegate and Willingdon Local History Society next meet on Friday June 19, when our talk is Charles Darwin and Alfred Russell Wallace. We meet at St Johns Church Hall, doors open at 6.30pm, meeting starts at 7pm to 9pm. Visitors welcome.

MID SUMMER FETE: The fete is on Saturday June 20, on Lower Willingdon Triangle from 1pm to 6pm. Local traders, many stalls, food stall, local history quiz, kids’ fancy dress, dog shows, tombola, bouncy castle, hog roast, fire and rescue, face painting, brass band, bake off, plants, Polefit, Zumba and Karate. In aid of two local charities, Children With Cancer Polegate and JPK Project.

SHOW: Polegate Gardeners Show is on Saturday June 20 in the hall at Polegate Community Centre from 2pm to 4pm. All welcome.
