LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY: Polegate and Willingdon Local History Society meet today, Friday, at St Johns Church Hall when our speaker is Rupert Matthews on Ghosts of Sussex. Doors open at 6.30pm, meeting starts at 7pm. Visitors £3.

Leader at start. Or Linear, Greenwich Meridian Trail with Graham T. Meet at Roderick Avenue, Peacehaven, 10.17am bus 12X. 933am Terminus Road stand J. Walking to Brighton Marina where refreshments are available. On Sunday, To The Beacon and Back, 9.5 miles with Bob B. Meet at the Avenue 9am or catch the 9.50am train to Plumpton railway station were walk starts. GR 364162 dry lunch. On Wednesday, Beside the Sea, 15.5 miles with Graham T. Meet bus No 3, 10.15am Terminus Road to Meads Street, Tescos, where walk starts. Seafront from Meads to Sovereign Harbour, refreshments on route.

MENS SOCIETY: The next meeting is on Monday at St Johns Church, High Street when our speaker is Rebecca King, University and Colleges Christian Fellowship. Tea at 2.30 pm, meeting starts at 3pm.

GARDENERS SOCIETY: Polegate Gardeners Society next meet on Thursday at 7.30pm in Polegate Community Centre. This meeting will be Judges Question Time. Come along and pose some questions. For more information contact Sheila 483222, Shirley 488035 or Diana 482413.
