VILLAGE HALL: Souper Saturday. Please come and join us on tomorrow (Saturday) from noon to 1.30pm at Ringmer Village Hall for a bowl of homemade soup with bread and one free refill, £2.50. There will be five different soups to choose from.

ST MARY’S: Sunday Services at St Marys: 8am Holy Communion, 10am Eucharist for Christmas and 6.30pm Evensong. Work on the lighting in the chancel and chapels has been going on this week as well as the start of the re-ordering which it is hoped will make your welcome to St Mary’s easier with more space to move around inside the door and buggy parking as necessary. Do pop along once the dust has settled to see the improvements. The Mothers Union meets on Tuesday, a Eucharist and AGM will take place at 7.30pm in the church room. All members welcome to hear about plans for 2016. The group meets on the third Tuesday of every month for fun and fellowship. We often welcome a guest speaker and new members are welcome to join one of the largest membership organisations in the world! It celebrates 140 years in 2016.

RAMBLERS: Our next walk will be on Sunday, meeting as usual in the car park behind the village shops at 10am. It will be 5 miles from the Martello Tower in Seaford along the prom to Newhaven Tide Mills and return. If you would like to join in please phone 01273 812562 in advance. Ringmer Ramblers welcomes new members. We are associated with the Ramblers Association and we carry full public liability insurance. HOSPICE SUPPORT: In 2015 the Ringmer St Peter and St James’ Hospice Support Group raised £9,698.55. Thank you to all who contributed towards that sum. Although a fine sum to raise, it will only keep the hospice running for one and a quarter days. If you have any fundraising ideas or would like to join the Support Group, please contact John Payne on 01273 812501. Let’s try to cover costs for two days this year.
