ST MARY’S: Sunday services this week continue as usual with Holy Communion at 8am, Eucharist at 10am which includes the giving of bread and wine, and a traditional Evensong at 6.30pm. Families are particularly welcome to the Tea Time Service at 4pm this Sunday. The theme is God’s Creation and there will be songs, a story and some fun games to get you moving around the church. After all that activity, a cup of tea and snacks will be served in the church room.

MOTHERS UNION: The MU meets on Tuesday at 7.30pm when Deborah Jackson will be giving an insight to life as wife of the Bishop of Lewes. Visitors and new members are most welcome, we have a full programme of speakers for the coming year and meet on the third Tuesday of each month.

BRIDGE CLUB: At its meeting on Wednesday February 1, the result of the duplicate pairs played was: 1, Liz and Tim Owen; 2, Suzanne Malley and Sandra Dudley-Williams; 3, Valerie and Peter King. The club next meets in the St Mary’s room of the village hall next Wednesday at 7pm. Contact 814220.

RDS SPRING PRODUCTION: Tickets are now available for We’ll Always Have Paris, a comedy by Jill Hyem, who wrote Tenko. Three women of a ‘certain age’ gravitate to Paris. This is a popular play about three girlfriends with very different personalities, whose lives have taken different directions. A feel-good play with laughter and tears, the promise of romance, friendship and anger, and the advantages and disadvantages of growing old. Charming Frenchmen will be waiting to welcome you when you arrive at Ringmer Village Hall. Enjoy a little Parisian atmosphere to get you in the mood to enjoy this amusing, thoughtful and heart warming play; guaranteed to make you laugh and leave you with a song in your heart. HORTICULTURAL CLUB: The horticultural and home produce club schedule for 2017 is now complete and most members will have now received their copy. If you have not, please contact the secretary, Chris Browning, on 01273 812672. New members are welcome. There is plenty of time to get cooking, growing or making before the spring show on Saturday April 8. Details of the coach outing to Wisley Gardens will be announced soon.
