JUMBLE SALE: Nevill Juvenile Bonfire Society will be holding a Jumble Sale tomorrow (Saturday) in the village hall. Doors open at 2pm. Come and pick up a bargain.

ST MARY’S: Services this Sunday: 8am Holy Communion, a simple and quiet service with the receiving of bread and wine; 10am Parish Eucharist for Lent, a traditional service for all ages and a Sunday Club running for primary school age children; 6.30pm Evensong. A number of additional services and meetings are taking place during Lent and details can be found on the church website www.ringmerchurch.org.uk or by picking up a leaflet in church. These include simple lunches, the continuation of a shared Lent course with Barcombe, Newick and Chailey and exploration of the Way of the Cross on Tuesday’s during Lent (5pm). Advance notice - Mothering Sunday is on March 26 and we especially welcome Mothers of all ages to the 10am service to celebrate and to receive a posy. The annual church meeting will take place on Monday April 3, 7.30pm in the church room.

STOOLBALL CLUB: This year’s AGM will take place on Monday, 7.30pm in the Committee Room at the Football Club. All members are welcome.

BRIDGE CLUB: At its meeting on Wednesday March 1, the result of the duplicate pairs played was: 1, Pam Brook and Suzanne Malley; 2, Liz and Tim Owen; joint 3, Frank Hibbert and George Montgomery, Jenny Lodge and Johnnie Walker. The club next meets in the St Mary’s room of the village hall next Wednesday at 7pm. Contact 814220.

COUNTRY MARKET: Ringmer’s regular Tuesday Market will have a Spring Special on March 21. Produce includes local eggs, honey, home-baked savouries and cakes. A good range of plants to brighten your gardens will be available and crafts with style will be for sale. Taste before you buy, samples available, in particular of this year’s marmalades. Find us at the village hall.
