FUN DOG SHOW: At St Andrew’s Church Fete, Bishopstone Village tomorrow, Saturday. Check in time is at 1pm to 1.50pm, judging starts at 2pm on The Egg (Village Green). There are eight classes ranging from Fancy Dress, Waggiest Tail, Best Six Legs, Prettiest Bitch, Most Handsome Dog, Best Veteran, Junior Handler and Dog Most Like His Owner. Come and join in the fun. SUMMER FETE: At Bishopstone Village tomorrow, Saturday, starting at noon until 4pm. This popular fete is packed with plenty of things to do including music by Seaford Silver Band, Pop up Choir, Punch and Judy, beer tent and all the usual stalls not forgetting delicious bacon rolls to afternoon teas. SEAFORD STAMP AND POSTCARD CLUB: (Formaley known as Seaford District Stamp Club) are holding their monthly meeting on Wednesday at Crossway Church Hall, Steyne Road at 7.15pm for 7.30pm. The speaker is Michael Farrant talking on Zanzibar. All stamp and postcard collectors are welcome. Tel. 01323 492433.

PLANNING AND HIGHWAYS: Committee meeting is being held on Thursday, 7pm at Seaford Town Council, 37 Church Street.

SNAP UP TICKETS: For Seahaven Lioness Club’s ‘Posh’ Afternoon Tea. Just ten tickets remaining for Seahaven Lioness Club’s last fundraising event, a Posh Afternoon Tea at Seaford Golf Club, Firle Road on Tuesday August 16 at 2.30pm. Although the club closed at the end of June, members decided to go out on a high with an afternoon tea in aid of Newhaven and Seaford Sea Cadets. As well as delicious cakes and sandwiches there will be a raffle. Tickets costing £8 each are available from Newberry Tulley Estate Agents, Church Street.
