LOST PHOTOS: Oh what a few weeks I’ve had. I was a guest at the 200th Anniversary of the
Battle of Waterloo, which was wonderful. The next morning, after 3 hours’ sleep, I flew to Switzerland, probably the best public transport system in the world. I went up several mountains, including where the James bond OHMSS was filmed. Altitude doesn’t agree with me. I felt quite drunk and short of breath. The next day it was granddaughter Isabella’s 1st birthday, then I was off to the Piemont Region of Italy three days later. Before I went, I loaded my photos onto the computer and deleted them from my camera. And I discovered that they weren’t there. I didn’t sleep all week until a very nice man from Image Recall looked into my computer and then rescued most of them from my camera’s memory card. Now I’ve learnt my lesson and everything will be backed up onto memory sticks. It could have been worse. I met a lady in a supermarket who told me that she’d had her daughter’s photos from birth to one on her phone, and she’d lost the phone.
