CHURCH SERVICES: Warbleton Parish Church: 11am Morning Worship with Holy Communion. St John’s Bodle Street: 9.30am Family Service. St Giles, Dallington: 6.30pm Harvest Festival followed by Harvest Supper. Heathfield Chapel: 11am and 6.30pm services will be led by Rev Paul Davies of the Albanian Evangelical Mission.

HISTORY GROUP: We will be exploring Sussex Literary Landscapes with Dr Geoffrey Mead at 7.30pm for 8pm on Monday at the Dunn Village Hall. Coffee is served before the meeting and the bookstall will be open.

PARISH COUNCIL: The council meets at 7pm in Bodle Street Village Hall on Thursday. Members of the public are welcome to attend and parishioners can raise matters early in the meeting. A reminder that any organisations in the parish seeking grants from the parish council in this financial year, for payment in January 2016, should send their applications to the clerk by October 31 phone her on 01435 831653 for details of what is required.

AUCTION OF PROMISES: This will be held in aid of Children of Gambia Services and the Dunn Village Hall, at the hall next Saturday, October 17. The catalogue of lots is available from The Stores, Rushlake Green, email on cogsadmin@cogsgamnbia.org or 07701045887.

Doors open at 6.45pm and the Auction starts at 7.15pm and there is no charge for entry; there will be a licenced bar and nibbles.

We have a wide range of lots: cakes, craft items, a range of food, toy or beauty hampers, flower arrangements, music lessons, sewing lessons, bottles of wine and a trip for 3 people in a helicopter to an agreed destination within a certain nautical mile radius (details of the latter to be confirmed).

We really want to make this a major fundraiser for both very worthwhile causes and really hope that we get a lot of people attending as it’s guaranteed to be a fun evening. Paul Huntley is our MC/Auctioneer
