Villagers in Middleton gear up for craft fair

It's annual fete and craft fair time in Middleton again.

The latest of the community occasions will take place from 11am on Sunday, July 27, on Shrubbs Field.

The first event to open will be the ever-popular dog show at midday. The fete opens an hour later.

All the usual attractions will be present.

They will include a fun fair, bouncy castle and children's games area.

A re-enactment group will be showing their skills, while displays will be staged by the Clubbin-it dance troupe and the Middleton old-time sequence club.

Egyptian dancing and disco music for eight to 80-year-olds will also be taking place.

The Jubilee Hall will be used for various crafts and the nearby scout building will be used for refreshments.

A car boot sale will be held as well.

Vehicles will be allowed on the field from 11am.

The proceeds from this year's event will be split between Macmillan Nurses and the continued refurbishment of Jubilee Hall and installing added security measures.
