Violent street attack on vulnerable man in Worthing

Police are seeking two men over a violent attack that took place in Thorn Road on Thursday (May 29).

Between 7.30pm and 7.45pm the two suspects followed the victim, a local man in his fifties, from Rowlands Road, Worthing, into Thorn Road where they attacked him.

One suspect is described as in his thirties, with blond hair, 5’’6”-7” and of skinny build. The second man is described as having dark hair and being of medium to stocky build.

Detective Constable Beccy Hopkins said’ “These two men followed the victim, who has learning difficulties, and punched him several times causing a broken ankle and multiple cuts and bruises.

“This is an unprovoked attack on a vulnerable man which has left him injured, upset and shaken.
