Virtual bike ride raises £2k for Bexhill Caring Community

THEY climbed on their bikes and pedalled around Europe ... at least, virtually.

Dozens took advantage of the Bank Holiday sunshine to support the BexerCycle fundraiser in Devonshire Square.

The event raised more than £2,000 for Bexhill Caring Community.

Taking his turn on one of the four exercise bikes was town mayor Cllr Jimmy Carroll.

The virtual miles were clocked up throughout the day by sponsored representatives of local organisations and businesses.

Caring Community manager Jackie Haggerty thanked all those who had contributed to the success of the day, including Bexhill Leisure Centre who loaned the bikes, plus an army of volunteers.
