Visitors braved the rain for The BIG Children's Festival

A festival offering end-of-summer fun for families made a successful debut in Horsham on Sunday despite the wet weather.

Emma Cavallo, organiser of ‘The BIG Children’s Festival’ at Horsham Sports Club, said the community were ‘amazing’ after braving the rain to attend the event.

She added: “Horsham’s ‘Kid’s Got Talent’ was fantastic, so moving, and Tomfoolery was amazing compèring the stage all day and adapting to all the weather threw at us.

“Magic Mr Steve, Awesome Amy from TNT parties, Twilight Bean from CraZy BeanZ and Spiderman from Super Hero Parties were fantastic at keeping everyone entertained and we had a visit from four Disney princesses from Megstars - Belle, Ana, Elsa and Cinderella.

“Sadly the bouncy castles could only run for a short amount of time for safety reasons, but all other activities and work shops carried on such as reptiles, ponies, arts, crafts and lots of disco.

“Fantastic workshops included Ollie Heath’s beatboxing with Panda P, and a singalong Greatest Showman workshop by local contemporary choir Singegy.”

Activities including arts, craft, singing, dancing, sporting activities, story tent, sensory play and more were also held to keep visitors entertained and street food stalls provided a tasty selection of child-centred and grown-up treats throughout the day.
