Vivace! to sing at historic church

A CHOIR which has raised thousands of pounds for charity is coming to Bishopstone this weekend.

Vivace! based in Haywards Heath will entertain at St Andrew’s Church on Saturday, May 12.

The concert starts at 7pm and lasts about two hours, including a 15-minute interval.

Tickets at £7.50 each include a drink and some refreshments in the village hall from 6pm to 6.45pm. Parking for the event is close to the venue.

Vivace! was formed eight years ago from the amalgamation of two smaller choirs from the Haywards Heath and Ditchling areas.

Since then the group has helped raise more than £50,000 for different charities.

The team prides itself on producing an eclectic programme of choral, solo, instrumental and group items ranging from 16th century plain song to modern pieces from the shows.

Tickets are available from Newberry Estates in Church Street, Seaford, Linda’s Stores at Bishopstone Station or can be ordered on 490038 or 894533.

The church was built between 600AD and 800AD.
