Volunteers are wanted to help out at the Community Space Garden at the Lewes Road Hut, Newhaven, every Thursday from 10am to 2pm.

There will also be free fresh soup and bread for lunch at noon as well as the chance to meet people and enjoy light exercise outdoors.

Last week volunteers were bulb planting and on Monday October 27 there was a drop-in free art workshop to help make bunting and design a Community Space Garden logo, while on Thursday October 30 there was planting and Halloween fun.

Tree and hedge planting will be the activity on Thursday November 6 and on November 13 there will be more tree and hedge planting.

Organisers SCDA said all were welcome to help out.
