Wadhurst man dies in Stonegate car collision

The driver of a Jaguar car died when his car left the road and collided with a wall in Bardown Road, Stonegate.

Emergency services, including the Kent Air Ambulance were called to the scene around 10.45am, but the man 67-year-old man from Wadhurst was declared dead at the scene. It is believed that he may have suffered a medical episode shortly before the crash.

Local road closures were put in place while rescue and recovery work took place. They reopened around 2.30pm.
