Fundraisers will be lacing their trainers this weekend when they gather for the sixth charity Big C Walk.
The event was organised by Tony Griffiths in memory of his late wife, Patricia, who died of cancer.
The eight mile walk will start in Beachy Head and finish in West Dean on May 19.
Mr Griffiths said: “I will never forget the wonderful care Patricia received at St Wilfrid’s Hospice and the Royal Marsden Hospital.
“My personal connection with these two organisations means I am so very grateful to all who have taken part and those who have sponsored them.
“I hope we raise a fantastic amount for these two worthy charities.”
He has raised almost £17,000 to date for St Wilfrid’s Hospice and the Royal Marsden Hospital in Surrey.
Fundraising director at St Wilfrid’s Hospice, Mary Lacey, said: “We are so touched that Tony and his team have continued to support St Wilfrid’s in this way.
“His tremendous efforts and that of the participants enable us to continue to care for those who need us most.
“Without the support of our community and those who fund raise on our behalf, such as Tony, we wouldn’t be able to continue to provide our specialist services.”
St Wilfrid’s Hospice provides skilled and compassionate care and treatment for patients with complex needs as they near the end of life. It covers Polegate, Pevensey, Seaford, Hailsham, Heathfield, Uckfield and everywhere in between.
