Birling Gap Coastguard reminded people this week of the dangers around cliff edges.

It warned on Facebook: “When on top of a cliff, it may not be visible that the cliff is in fact crumbling.
“Please keep well back from cliff edges and bases.
“In a coastal emergency dial 999 and ask for the coastguard.”
