Seven teams from Autowise , Sutton Winson, Heights Gym, Nova, Time 24, Ridgeview and PVL, joined the ranks of the ‘immortals’ by completing the notorious Warrior Run.

Staged over 7k, 14k or 21k, at Q-Leisure, the military style assault course through countryside around Albourne, is known as one of the hardest tests of strength, stamina and agility.

The BHBPA teams joined around 1,000 entrants crawling through nets, climbing walls, crawling through mud and swamps, throwing themselves over dirt mounds, hauling heavy objects and generally stretching mind and muscle to the edge of endurance.

“It was one of the toughest things I’ve ever done,” said BHBPA chairman, Paul Shearing. “But the feeling of elation when you finish is unbeatable and knowing we’ve raised over £2000 for our local hospice makes aching for a week afterwards worth it!”
