A WOMAN had to be stretchered off a cabin cruiser on the River Adur on Wednesday afternoon (October 21).

The inshore lifeboat at Shoreham located the vessel by Coronation Green, in Shoreham.

An ambulance paramedic was already on board. The crew helped pass the woman who was on a stretcher into the inshore lifeboat and she was taken to Star Gap slipway next to Coronation Green.

There, the coastguard and crew carried her up the slipway to a waiting ambulance where she was taken to hospital.
