In the House of Commons today (Thursday February 23), Wealden MP Nus Ghani said: “The A27 Reference Group has long campaigned for investment, and my constituency of Wealden, especially my town of Hailsham are in desperate need of modern roads.

“Will the minister agree to meet me and representatives of the A27 Reference Group to discuss how we can secure extra funding for the A27?

Transport minister John Hayes replied “I can hardly wait Mr Speaker. Coffee, tea, supper, whenever the honourable lady wishes I will be happy to meet her and her friends to consider these matters.”
