WEATHER: A rainy week in store for Sussex

Sussex will wave goodbye to the sunshine this week as cloudy and wet weather is set to arrive in the county tonight (Sunday, July 31).

Many parts of Sussex can expect showers this evening but it will dry up overnight, according to the Met Office weather forecast.

However, it won’t stay dry for long, with rain arriving from the west on Monday afternoon (August 1) after a bright start to the day.

The showers are expected to get heavier as the day goes on, becoming more persistent into the evening. People can prepare for a maximum temperature of 20°C on Monday.

Tuesday and Wednesday will see much of the same cloud and showers but it will feel warmer and more humid during the dry and bright spells.

The Met Office predicts a breezy day on Wednesday, with the weather brightening up for a dry and less humid Thursday,
