A sunny start is set to continue with Met Office forecasters predicting a warm and bright day across Sussex.

Temperatures are expected to remain above 20 degrees for most of today (Sunday, June 5) and reach as high as 25 degrees in some areas.

The weather is expected to remain warm and dry for most of the evening but will turn overnight with showers beginning in the early hours of Monday morning (June 6).

Light showers with sunny intervals are expected to remain for most of Monday morning with skies clearing at around noon.

Forecasters expect the rain to return on Tuesday with the possibilty of thunderstorms in some parts of the county.

The rest of the week is expected to remain warm and sunny on most days but will see some slow moving and possibly thundery showers developing during Tuesday and Wednesday.
