Snow showers fall in Hastings and St Leonards

The showers started earlier this morning and are expected to last throughout the day.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Hastings and 1066 Country, which lasts until 6am tomorrow (Monday, February 8).

According to the warning, the snow is likely to become widespread.

Widespread accumulations of one to three centimetres are likely.

Trains running between Hastings, Ore and Ashford International have been cancelled today due to the adverse weather conditions, Southern said, which operates the route.

Southeastern said there will be no trains running between Hastings and Tonbridge today.
