Sting in the tail for April weather in Horsham district

The Met Office forecasts that the rest of this week will be bright, sunny and warm but a band of rain is on the way for the weekend, bringing colder weather.

As a result most areas will see sunny spells and showers, and some of the showers could be heavy with a risk of hail and thunder.

It will also be breezy at times.

Temperatures are likely to be colder than normal for the time of year with a chance of overnight frosts, especially in rural areas.

There are signs of warmer, more settled conditions becoming established across the UK at the beginning of May.
