Sussex weather forecast for Friday, June 26

Sussex is set for more hot and sunny weather today (June 26), but a thunderstorm warning remains in place.

According to the Met Office, temperatures are not expected to hit yesterday's peak and are forecast to top out at around 22 degrees Celsius.

A yellow thunderstorm warning remains in place until 9am, but thundery showers are expected to move north east of Sussex across Kent and London.

The Met Office said it is likely to become cool and misty near some coasts as the day progresses.


Into the evening, temperatures are expected to drop to around 13 degrees Celsius, with some light wind.
