Sussex weather forecast for the week ahead

The weather for the week ahead in Sussex is set to be a mixture of sunny speels and rain for most of the county, according to the Met Office.

Today (Sunday, May 3) it will be rather cloudy with the chance of some patchy light rain and drizzle at times.

It is expected to be drier during the afternoon, with the best chance of some limited hazy sunny spells.

The maximum temperature is expected to be 16°C.

Tonight it will remain rather cloudy during the evening and overnight, with a little further light rain and drizzle possible at times, more likely in the east, the Met Office said.

The minimum temperature is expected to be 5°C.

Tomorrow (Monday, May 4) it will be rather cloudy and damp in places to start but it will gradually brighten up to give a warmer day than today, with some sunny spells developing for most areas of the county later.

The maximum temperature is expected to be 19°C.

The outlook for Tuesday (May 5) to Thursday (May 7) is expected to be rather cloudy and breezy on Tuesday, according to the Met Office, with some potentially heavy rain.

It is expected to become fine from mid-week, with sunny spells and light winds, the Met Office said.
