Yellow weather warning for Sussex: Your frosty forecast for Monday, December 7

A yellow weather warning has been announced for Sussex with motorists warned to be vigilant in tricky conditions.

The MetOffice has put a fog warning in place this morning (December 7) until 11am, which it said is likely to lead to more traffic on the roads.

Disruption to train and bus services is also expected, with slower journey times, as well as potential delays or cancellations to flights.

Freezing overnight temperatures will also see many residents wake up to a frosty morning.

As the fog disappears, heavy rain is expected at around midday, continuing into the evening – albeit lighter.

Temperatures will rise to a maximum of four degrees Celsius during the day, made chillier by a light breeze.

Overnight, temperatures could dip to as low as minus three degrees Celsius.
