Website could help police trace owners of property

POLICE are encouraging victims of burglary in the Bognor Regis area to visit a website which features recovered stolen property.

Numerous items were found by police during a search of an address in the town in September.

Although much of it has been returned to the rightful owners, police have not been able to trace everyone.

A police spokesperson said: “We are hoping that victims will visit the website to see if they can identify any of the outstanding property.

“Anyone who thinks they recognise any of the items is asked to make contact via the website or call DC Neil James at Chichester CID on 101, quoting Operation Patron.”

Officers also believe some of the property may belong to people in the Chichester and Arundel areas.

The website address is www.property.sussex-police.co.uk/patron/
