Well done Bexhill Lions

BEXHILL Lions made a record amount for their charity fund over Christmas.

Over 2,700 was donated over the Christmas period - 20 per cent more than ever before.

"We were really busy this year,"said lions findraising chairman David Burstow. "With not only our door-to-door collections with Father Christmas, collections in Western Road and at the lights switch-on in Devonshire Road, but also a full two days with our ever-popular swing boats at the Old Town Christmas Fayre.

"Bexhill Lions are pleased to support many local worthy causes, as well as special initiatives by Lions Club International, and we never have as much to give as we would like. However the Christmas donations mean that we will start 2007 in a healthy position to help us respond positively to calls for help in the coming year - and we are always interested in hearing of those in Bexhill in need of support".
