Well done Leroy

LOOKING for all the world like a delicate painted porcelain ornament, this aquatic creation is actually made from solid chocolate.

The piece, designed by Hastings schoolboy Leroy Andrews, was hand-crafted by master chocolatiers from Brighton firm Choccywoccydoodah.

All the pupils in Leroy's year group at Castledown School entered a national competition to design a 'cake' as part of their project on chocolate.

Teacher Mary Hustwayte said: "Leroy was amazed when he won, and even more amazed when he saw the finished item.

"We were all very excited when the artistic creator and general manager from Choccywoccydoodah delivered the cake - and it tasted delicious!"

The intricately sculpted cake, featuring dolphins, crustaceans and the words "Well done Leroy!", was made from fine Belgian couverture chocolate. It would have cost 700 at retail.

Leroy designed the cake for his mum.
