Westfield Church: celebrates its Patronal Festival this Sunday, June 26, with a very special outdoor Family Service and the visit of Bishop Martin (Rt Rev'd Martin Warner, Bishop of Chichester). The service is at the later time of 10.30am to allow time to get everyone seated outside; please bring a chair if possible. Children from Westfield School will be singing their prize-winning song '˜Hastings Seaside Celebration'. The service will be followed by a picnic in the church grounds, and everyone is welcome. Let's hope for good weather!

A new weekly group: for parents and toddlers (and babies): starts every Wednesday from 2-3pm from June 29. Westfield Church welcomes you to get together for chat and play in the new family corner in the church with stories, games, songs and refreshments. Just turn up or contact Lian on 07712 31594 or Natalie on 07863 819662 for more information.

Good news! The new: play equipment has been installed in the recreation ground opposite the church. It all looks wonderful, and I am sure there are lots of children anxious to try it out.

Westfield Cricket Club: had a great day at Westfield School last week with a cricket taster session run by Sussex Cricket Foundation combined with Westfield C.C. open day, which was supported by ECB and Waitrose who donated refreshments for the children. A really special thanks go to Simon Corke for organising the events at the school as well as all the teachers, teaching assistants and most importantly the children, who were brilliant. We look forward to seeing some of the youngsters playing for Westfield C.C. in the not too distant future. Thanks also go to both Colin Brook (Vice-President of the cricket club and a school Governor), and to Jackie Smith (school Governor and a Parish Councillor) for coming along to support the day.
