Services at the Parish Church: this Sunday are Holy Communion at 8am and Family Worship at 10am.

The Plough Week-end celebrations next week-end start with a concert with ‘Taylor Maid’ at 4pm in church on Saturday, January 30, which promises brilliant jazz, folk and swing music. Tickets (£6, children free) will be on sale at Archers Butchers or by ringing 01424 751029, and include tea and cake. The Mummers will also be making a visit. Plough Sunday will be celebrated with Morris dancers and other special guests on Sunday, January 31 at 10am, when you are invited to mark the beginning of the agricultural year by helping to decorate the plough brought into the church.

The monthly F3 (Friends, Fun, Fellowship) group: warmly welcomes women of any age. The next meeting is in the Parish Hall on Thursday, January 28 at 7.30pm, when we will be ‘Going Dotty!’ while exploring the fascination of Braille. Admission is £2. For more details contact Helen on 01424 752052.

The HUB will be closed: next Friday, January 29, while ‘The Plough’ is closed for stocktaking for a few days following the arrival of the new manager. Dave will be welcoming customers old and new very soon, and the HUB will be open there as normal from 5 February.

Westfield Scout Group: is holding a Jumble Sale on Saturday, February 6 at 2pm in the Community Hall, so please save any items if you are having a New Year clear out! Donations of jumble are welcome at the Hall from 12.30pm, but please note that large items or TVs and monitors cannot be accepted.

The Westfield Village website: www.westfieldvillage.co.uk has all sorts of information about village organisations, events, Westfield Community Association and the Parish Council. This is your website, set up to serve the village community, and your contributions, news and views are needed.
