The New Inn: Thursday 3rd December saw the Big Westfield Lights “Switch On” which was a huge success. The aim this year is to raise £10,000 for St Michaels Hospice. The pub opening hours for the festive period are: 24th food 12-7 & bar 12 – 11; 25th bar 11- 12.30 & food fully booked; 26th closed; 27th 12-6 & bar 12-10; 28th food 12 – 4 & bar 12-8; 29th & 30th normal hours; 31st food 12 – 3 & bar 12 – 3 then in the evening it’s the New Years Eve party with the pub opening at 7pm until 1.30 including live music from the Mutineers at 9. 1st to the 5th January closed. WCA Carols round the tree: take place tonight Friday 18th December at 7pm. Musicians (preferably wind instruments) are needed to join the band. There is a short practice on Sunday 13th December; please ring Janice 753684 for details.

F3 (Friends, Fun, Fellowship): is a group open to all women of any age. The cost is £3; for more details telephone Helen 01424 752052.

The Friendship Club: The Friendship Club meet again after the Christmas period on 4th January 2.0 p.m.to 3.30 p.m. alternate Mondays. at the Parish Hall. Membership is £5 per year with 10p. for tea and biscuits at each meeting. Members enjoy bingo and whist and would be pleased to see some new members Why not make it a New Year resolution - do something different. We all wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Westfield Scout Group: Westfield Beavers has re started and the new Leader, Katharine Moore, has spaces available for boys or girls aged between 6 and 8 years looking for fun and friends. If you would like more information please call her on 07736 146779.

Westfield Women’s Institute: meets in the Parish Hall on Tuesdays. New members are always welcome; just turn up, or ring 01424 754013 for more information.
