PARISH CHURCH NEWS: On Thursday 27th October Whatlington church hosted a special Orthodox Memorial Service for King Harold which was organised by the Guild of St. Edmund. The service followed a liturgy as close to that which was used in Saxon England, as far as is known. The priest used incense, perhaps the first time the church has experienced this since the Reformation.

Then on Sunday 30th Whatlington hosted a United Benefice service, with the congregation from Sedescombe joining with us for a well attended service for All Saints Day.

Next Sunday we revert to our usual 09.30am Parish Communion service at Whatlington.
