DEFIBRILLATOR TRAINING: 8 village residents attended an excellent training session with Jon Anderson organised by the Sussex Heart charity. During the evening we learnt how to carry out CPR and then put it into practice on mannequins which illuminated when the CPR was effective. Nellie the Elephant helped us get the pace right. We also watched in awe as we saw on video the effectiveness of CPR and the defibrillator in a real life situation in Australia. We also had a practice with our village defibrillator so that we could all use it. Don’t forget the defibrillator is now housed up at the Royal Oak public house and is a great asset for the village .

PARISH CHURCH: On Sunday 14th February the church service at Whatlington will be the monthly All Age at 10.30am, taken by Reader, Tony Collins, it will be followed with the usual refreshments. As usual the village hall car park will be open and we extend a warm welcome to everyone.
