Film Club is tonight (Friday 13th) and we will begin showing The Dark Knight Rises at 7.30pm in The Barn at The Royal Oak. Everyone is welcome, Film Club membership is just £7.50 for the year and we show a film every month. Quiz night is every Thursday at The Royal Oak from 8pm for teams of up to six people. We also serve the usual menu throughout the evening and tend to get busy, so if you know your team is coming it’s a good idea to call 01424 870492 and let us know!

The next live music night at The Royal Oak is on Friday 27th September from 8pm when talented local musicians join together for a jamming style session of traditional Irish tunes around the bar.

The Village Hall Committee is looking for willing volunteers to join them. If you are a local resident or maybe new to the village and who would like to get more involved in village events and help raise money for the upkeep of the Village Hall, then please get in touch with Angie on 01424 870087.

This week the Parish Church has received a generous donation of £200.00, designated chairs. The chairs are to be purchased in memory of a lady`s beloved parents. The P.C.C. of Whatlington are very grateful for this gift and thank the lady concerned,very much. If you would like to purchase a chair or a pew in memory of a loved one or would just like to purchase a chair or pew, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Hilda ( Treasurer) on 01424 777358 or the Church Wardens, Jeffrey or Ken.

We are very grateful for all donations that we have received and may receive. The donations enable us to make our church more welcoming and to improve facilities.
