Wholly Wedlock

A celebration party was held at Wedlock Bridal Boutique in Sea Road to welcome visitors and re-launch the shop after refurbishment.

Owner Kate Pitcher organised food and champagne to offer customers and gave them the chance to also make contact with harpist Fiona Hosford, toast master Jim Clapperton, Premier Wedding Cars, and Paul Weller Photography.

Kate had closed the shop for one week for re-decoration having taken it over a year ago.

She said: "We had a very successful year...We are now being recommended, so that has been excellent, and at the end of last year I decided I really needed to get the shop re-fitted and decorated. It is looking very smart now, and we have also got a new range of stock in for bridal dresses, and bridesmaids', so this was an opportunity for people to pop in and have a look, also just to get our name out there and say - come on everybody and have a look.

"The thing about us is we offer the complete bridal package, starting with the bride and putting in a good amount of time sorting her dress out, then moving to the bridesmaids and men's suit hire."

The shop stocks everything a bride-to-be could possible need, including veils, shoes, tiaras, and jewellery.

Kate said: "Our aim really is to find the dream dress...I have had girls coming in who have absolutely no confidence, and think they won't find anything, and then they go out looking an absolute dream in their dress. They have a real smile on their face."
