Why no fixed bayonets?
It was good to welcome the troops home at the parade in Chichester (July 29) but I wondered why the order to 'Fix bayonets' was not given?
In a similar march through Cardiff the Queen's Welsh Dragoons did so. Both regiments are freemen of the respective cities.
Can any reader shed any light on this?
