‘Wicked’ award for aspiring young writer
A GUESTLING teenager has been named as one of the finalists in an inaugural writers’ contest.
Jamie Osborn, 16, of Friars Hill, Guestling, entered the WICKED Young Writers’ Award competition and the Buckswood School student was one of 20 finalists chosen.
The long-running West End show WICKED launched the award earlier this year to recognise excellence in writing, encourage creativity, and help develop writing talent in young people between five and 25 years.
Each one of the 100 finalist entries will be published in an anthology celebrating the 2010 WICKED Young Writers’ Award.
