Wildlife boost for Horsham Park

A number of bird boxes have been erected in Horsham Park as part of a new project to boost wildlife.

The scheme is being spearheaded by the New Friends of Horsham Park who have funded it, along with members of the public.

Friends spokeswoman Jennifer Cole said: “This is the first phase of our bird box project with more planned later in the year including bat boxes.”

The quality bird boxes were made by volunteers at Warnham Nature Reserve and erected by Horsham District Council’s parks and countryside warden Stuart Card on Friday.
