Could Lewes become a place where residents plant herbs, vegetables and fruit on public land and plots owned by businesses and organisations?
Mary Clear, chair of Incredible Edible Todmorden, will speak on Friday March 6 at 7pm upstairs in the John Harvey Tavern, about how the town in Yorkshire did just that.
Free entry. For more information see transitiontownlewes.org or ring 01273 477870.
People from all sections of the community in Todmorden have become involved.
Lewes already has similar projects such as the community orchard in Ringmer.
