WANNOCK ARTISTS: Welcomes well known artist Joe Francis Dowden today, Friday, to demonstrate at Wannock Village Hall. He will be demonstrating in watercolour on the subject of Reflections. Wannock Artists meet on the last Friday of the month between 7pm and 9pm at the hall for demonstrations and talks on all aspects of arts and visitors are welcome to attend at £4 per session.

HARVEST FESTIVAL: St Andrews Church Jevington will be holding their Harvest Festival on Sunday. Everyone is welcome to come to sing the lovely hymns for Harvest and to give thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for our many blessings. (June Walker).

VACANCIES: This autumn for Thursday Morning Art Group, Wannock Hall 9.45am to 12.30pm. Tuition in drawing and painting, mainly in watercolour and pastels. Beginners welcome. Please telephone Angela Burnap on 842113 to book your place.

WILLINGDON WI: The annual meeting is on October 13 with the election of committee and president. The meeting will be held at the Memorial Hall, Church Street at 2.15 pm.

JEVINGTON AND FILCHING WI: The next meeting is on October 13 when our speaker is Rupert Matthews Ghosts of Sussex. The competition is an object made from pipe cleaners. Meetings held at Trinity Church Hall Coppice Avenue, at 2pm.

LIFESTYLE: Meet on the third Thursday of the month at 2.15pm at the Memorial Hall, Church Street. The next meeting is on October 20 when our speaker will be talking about Towner Art Gallery. Entrance is 50p including tea and biscuits. More info from Mrs T Ouzman on 503743.

LOCAL HISTORY: Wartling and Herstmonceux Local History Group will have an exhibition on Saturday October 15, at the Horseshoe Inn, Windmill Hill, from 1.30pm to 5.30pm. Entry £4.
