OUR FRIENDLY CUPPA: Is taking a short holiday, so will be back on Friday September 30 at Trinity Church Hall, Coppice Avenue from 10am to noon. Come and join us, meet friends old and new for a chat and cuppa. In aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

LIFESTYLE: Meet on the third Thursday of the month at 2.15pm at the Memorial Hall, Church Street. The next meeting is on October 20 when our speaker will be talking about Towner Art Gallery. Entrance is 50p including tea and biscuits. More info from Mrs T Ouzman on 503743.

SOROPTIMISTS: The next meeting of Eastbourne and District Soroptimists will be on Monday at Chalk Farm, Coopers Hill at 7.45pm. The speaker will be Scott Franklin-Lester (Sussex Police) on Personal Safety. New members and guests are welcome. Soroptimist International is a vibrant, dynamic organisation for today’s women. Soroptimist means ‘The best for women’ from the Latin, soror = sister optima = best. Joining a Soroptimist Club gives a woman the opportunity to meet with a welcoming, friendly group of like-minded women, to be part of a worldwide organisation, develop international friendships and increasing understanding of other cultures and world problems. 
Soroptimists make a difference to the lives of more than half a million women and girls in the world every year through our Programme Action work. We also have socials and fun. Eastbourne and District Soroptimists meet on the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 7.45pm.
