Win a share in a racehorse - see this week’s paper

HAVE you ever dreamed of sending your own horse to post at Glorious Goodwood or Royal Ascot?

Maybe, you’ve yearned to roar that very stable star to glory on the Downs or across Newmarket’s Rowley Mile.

Well here’s your chance to live the dream.

Along with The News at Portsmouth and our sister papers across Sussex, we have teamed up with Heart of the South Racing to offer one lucky reader a share of a thrilling yearling.

It’s an all-expenses paid opportunity of a lifetime.

Follow the colt, who is by Group 1 winner Imperial Dancer, every step of the way in his debut season on the flat.

Former Southampton and England striker Mick Channon will take the exciting prospect under his wing at his Berkshire training base.

And the West Ilsley handler is buzzing at the opportunity to saddle the young gun, after enjoying five season’s of success with his sire.

Winning the golden share could not be easier.

Over the next few weeks, we along with The News and our sister papers across Sussex, will publish a series of multiple-choice questions.

Each correct entry – received online at portsmouth.co.uk/competitions or via the postal entry form – will go into a draw and a winner will be crowned each week.

Two tickets to Fontwell Park’s premier enclosure, plus betting vouchers worth £25, await each one of the weekly winners.

Meanwhile, they will all be invited to Channon’s training base to meet the colt as he enters training after Christmas.

It is then that the final draw will take place and the winner awarded his or her golden share.

The lucky reader will become one of 20 owners in the horse’s syndicate, managed by Heart of the South Racing.

They will enjoy all the perks of ownership, including access to owners’ and trainers’ areas on the racecourse and an equal share of any prize money.

The winner will get the chance to watch their horse on the gallops and visit him at Channon’s yard. And he or she will also be involved in naming the colt.

To make sure you are in with a shout, don’t miss this week’s paper, where we have published the first question and entry form.
